Graphic Design Internship with Smithsonian Folkways Recordings

Smithsonian Folkways Recordings is currently looking for a graphic design intern to assist in the design and layout of CD covers and liner notes booklets for a collection of world music albums.

The intern would be able to work closely with the production manager and gain hands-on experience with graphic layout and CD packaging design. Additionally, the intern would have the opportunity to play a meaningful part in the production of forthcoming releases and learn about musical traditions of the world. This opportunity is especially beneficial to graphic design students who have an interest in anthropology-, ethnomusicology-, or cultural studies-related projects.

Applicants should be proficient in Adobe Creative Suite and have experience in graphic design, typography, and photoshop. A portfolio highlighting past projects is required.
