The Wyeth Foundation Predoctoral Fellowship
The Wyeth Foundation Predoctoral Fellowship is awarded for the advancement and completion of a doctoral dissertation that concerns the traditions of American art. This twelve-month residential fellowship carries a stipend of $30,000, with additional funds for research travel and relocation to Washington, D.C. The Wyeth Foundation also offers a publication subvention of up to $5,000 to help former Wyeth Fellows publish their first substantial scholarly book on American art. Application guidelines and deadlines are the same as for the Smithsonian Institution Fellowship Program.
Eligibility: Ph.D. candidates who wish to work with Smithsonian American Art Museum advisors.
Application: Only one application is necessary for all Smithsonian American Art Museum fellowships; applicants listing a primary advisor/supervisor at the museum will automatically be considered in all relevant award categories.
