The Joe and Wanda Corn Fellowship
The Joe and Wanda Corn Fellowship, endowed by their former students Mike Wilkins and Sheila Duignan, supports scholars whose research interests span American art and American history. Recipients will draw on the Smithsonian’s broad resources in both areas, utilizing the holdings of the Smithsonian American Art Museum and the Smithsonian’s National Museum of American History. The terms of the fellowship as well as application guidelines and deadlines are the same as for the Smithsonian Institution Fellowship Program.
Eligibility: Pre- and postdoctoral scholars whose research interests span American art and American history and who propose a primary advisor/supervisor at the Smithsonian American Art Museum.
Application: Only one application is necessary for all Smithsonian American Art Museum fellowships; applicants listing a primary advisor/supervisor at the museum will automatically be considered in all relevant award categories. Applicants should use the online Smithsonian Institution Fellowship Program application here.
