Canada and Cultural Heritage

Center for Folklife and Cultural Heritage (CFCH) Intern Taraya Middleton has focused on transcribing Reunion Weekend discussion sessions and Story Swap interviews from the 50th annual Folklife Festival during her time at the Smithsonian. She is part of the Alberta Smithsonian Internship Program (ASIP). Each year, the University of Alberta sends ten interns to Washington, D.C. These interns contribute research to the annual Folklife Festivals. Taraya recently wrote a blog about this program and her time at the Smithsonian.
