Posted on October 10, 2016 by in The OFI Blog

LaStarsha enjoys another bright day full of learning.

Texas Southern University graduate LaStarsha McGarity spent the past year learning about and polishing up such iconic pieces as Chuck Berry’s Cadillac, James Brown’s organ, and others in a fellowship with with the National Museum of African American History and Culture (NMAAHC). All this was in preparation for the museum’s grand opening in September, which President Barack Obama headlined.

You can learn more about LaStarsha’s work and life in a recent article published by the Houston Chronicle here.
