Former Senior Fellow Maurice Jackson will lead DC Commission on African American Affairs

Dr. Maurice Jackson, a former Senior Fellow at the National Museum of American History, has been appointed by Mayor Vincent Grey to head the District of Columbia Commission on African American Affairs.  Dr. Jackson earned his Masters and Doctoral degrees from Georgetown University where he serves as an Associate professor of History and African American Studies.  You can read more about Dr. Jackson’s appointment here.
